Read lots of comments in the forums, from actual owners of the F800GT. Couldn’t find any of these issues mentioned. What folks did say is people get the GT confused with the previous “ST”, which did have issues, however when they released the GT, BMW had addresses those “ST” issues in the redesign and release of the GT. Further, BMW still utilizes the power plant to this very day in the F800 series.
Interestingly, if one searches for components on the Motorrad site, BMW does not include the “F” series bikes. BMW has the C, G, K, R and S series listed only on the USA site. Can’t figure that one out, as they still sell the F800, and F900 bikes.
